It’s always so exciting to see what stylish people do with Skinny laMinx in their homes, especially when they have a super-strong look of their own. German interiors stylist and author Julia Ballmaier has totally wowed us with the way she’s integrated some of our most colourful pillows into her spectacular home, where she lives …

Colour Yum: A peaceful palette
One of my favourite shots from our Living with Skinny laMinx Lookbook is this bedroom shot, where we made up a headboard in the Breeze print, and teamed that concrete colourway with a squishy pile of pillows in restful greys and sages. It’s the perfect palette for unwinding and recharging, don’t you think? Cushions from L-R: Breeze, …

A Colour Dictionary
Eek! I just bought myself an early birthday present on Amazon, called A Dictionary of Color Combinations, by Sanzo Wada. Sanzo Wada was a Japanese artist, teacher, costume and kimono designer who wrote a 6-volume work on colour combinations in the 1930s, which helped to lay the foundations for contemporary colour research. Here are some of the shapes and colours that …

Colour Yum: From above
The image above of tulip fields in Lisse, Netherlands comes from the book Overview: New Perspective of Earth by Benjamin Grant, which I discovered in an extraordinary post on Yellowtrace about arial photographs of the earth. I’ve picked out some particularly fascinatingly colourful ones to share here, but highly recommend visiting the original post on Yellowtrace …
