I'm a geek

I'm a geek

I don't think I've ever plumbed the depths of my own geekiness until this long weekend. Visit my Flickr page, where you'll see what geeks like me can do with their valuable holiday break, an ad-hoc infinity screen, an obsession with old crockery, and a brand new teatowel design (see yesterday's post).

I had fun. Hope you like too.

it was a ton of fun! i saw your new work on flickr sunday, and then was so happy to see it getting "press" yesterday on my favorite blogs!

you've given me a new appreciation for the mugs: yours remind me of ones my mom and dad would drink coffee out of in the 70's. they were so ugly to me as a kid then, but i am able to see beauty in them now. and it makes me a little nostalgic for those days...

You are incredibly talented - but I'm sure you've heard that before! :)

Well, if this is what the geeks are doing, I want to be one as well! I love mugs and this is a perfect tea towel indeed!

Okay, so I just got back from thrifting and guess what I bought.... a vintage tea cup, of course. You have officially inspired me to start a collection. I really do not need another collection!! Way too many! I can't help it though. You are a muse!

Just found your blog, love it - love all your textiles and will be ordering from your shop. Won't order until I get back from holiday (in Tuscany, might see you there if I knew what you look like.) Great stuff, I'll be back :)

Yey for geeks, what a great collection, i've just nipped over and enjoyed your flickr page. and i love the designs you've developed from them.

I didn't know about elle deco sa, just left a big comment for you there, i'm very excited about it being my new substitute for elle deco uk which i have just given up on. today my living etc came through the door, and for the 1st time in nearly 2 decades, there won't be any Elle D arriving at all. I can hardly believe the timing of discovering the SA versions blog. And it's beauty.

I love this so much. I can't resist photographing totally unnecessary collection of dishes either! :P

I think it's wonderful that vintage mugs inspires you, not geeky at all!

I really enjoyed seeing your process from actual mug, to sketches to final tea towels. I feel so connected to the tea towels:)
